Brake light could be on for more than one reasons, what makes you think its related to the cluster though?

🔥Wacka Wacka 🔥
Because it's a known problem. I can see by your answer that you don't know the solution.
Break light?????
And if you flex the cluster circuit board the light goes out.

Seen the problem one of my customers , but he was in a hurry to pass emissions he end up replacing with a second hand unit . never had a chance to play with it.
Nobody??
Thanks a lot.

I still do not understand your problem, could you please give details ...
note of interest.
use vcm ford in diagnostic view previous or clone for a better %%.
If my memory does not fail me, you should check the liquid, or failing sensor brake

OH clusters btw did a 07 GMT900 Tahoe typical display issue, my first with blown mosfet tho so replaced mosfet, and gate resistor "looked toasty" but didnt replace driver chip/controller and had wrong resistor size plus resistor pad was fried "think it was partially but I made worse, so I soldered resistor to mosfet gate and ran jumper from other end of resistor to via.
Worked but only after 10-30 seconds warm up! other wise dim. any ideas? You think it was resistor size? Driver chip?

So, I managed to get this repair done finally. The brake light was staying on and the interior lights did not work unless you flexed the circuit board.
Powering it up on the bench doesn't really offer a good way to recalibrate the needles, so mark them carefully with tape at the bottom stops before turning them clockwise past the stops and pulling them off with your fingers.
Powered up on the bench you can't test the brake light function either, because with no input from the ABS module the ABS and brake light will be on so confirming repair has to be done in the truck.
A reflow of the surface mount resistors marked in the picture (front of the circuit board) solved all the problems. Reflow all the ones circled in red.
I did find one resistor under the other connector that was cracked as well (no pic), and may have prevented a future problem.
