Why not clean? Can be done on car. Easy for guys with equipment. Much better for environment. Or remove and clean yourself.

Hi,
You can try to do a DPF regeneration with Renault tool, Can Clip under command SC017. If it does not accept, then do it as autoden suggests, remove it and clean it.
Anyway if engine starts and stop without running on idle, it could be because exaust is really full!
You have to know that even doing a DPF off you will need to remove DPF from car, so half job is already done this way

Hi,
on a cheerfull note, a friend of mine ended up replacing the dpf at great expence.
Problem solved for a few weeks then came back, long storey short, the injectors were duff and the cause of the problem. (although M9R from memory)
Couldn't get injectors out without help from chap with big bill making machine.
Morel, beware the bottomless money pit.

Hi albertros,
I know this problem on M9R engine, water falls on the engine for years and years and then no way to remove the injectors, but this one is G9U engine ( 2.5l). On those engines many times the DPF temperature sensor is faulty and regeneration never starts, or the light of DPF comes back because of service reset.
