elm 327 obd key

Hi guys have been having problems with the fiat ecu scan fes for a while. So today i had another go at getting it to work. I have a elm 327 and a vag with switch, but non connect. i check the com port, the speed etc. the software sees and identifies the interface. When i try to connect to engine on 2006 punto 1.2 8v i get message "you need elm 327 obdkey to connect" I have searched for it but cannot, can only find wifi or crap copy. Can i upgrade the old 327 or any help. obdkey is £98 to buy. Is this software corrupt because i dont see this problem before with fes.

In the settings area of your program try to change the connection settings, either increase or decrease the speed-interval of the connection and play with those settings until you get it to work. I've had similar problem but cannot remember which speed was ideal.

Na, tried all speeds. Thanks to artur12 but not that good with electronic repair, and most is in another language. If i used the fes on a regular basis i would buy a new interface. Does anyone fancy having a go for beer tokens.
