Default My car ignition DOESN'T START since last January.

    Hello everybody !

I need someone to explain this to me because i love mechanics and electronics but i hate when is electronics that takes care of all the systems !

I have a Peugeot 106 1.0 (petrol) with license plate from January 1998 and in last January i Ient my car to my brother-in-law for him to travel about 1000 kilometers , but he drove the car with the spare key of it because i accidentally broke the main key (it opens and close all doors of the car) ,
After my brother-in-law's travel i went to travel about 500 kilometers with the same spare key on ignition and everything went normal.

Two days after my 500 kilometers travel and after my return at home my car no more started turning on the ignition key, so, i went to the nearest mechanic, explained to him what is going on with the car and he said the problem was on the ignition coil, on the ignition wire set or on the spark plugs.

My car only had one owner till now (me) and i never changed the ignition coil neither the ignition wire set, so, I thought that if I bought a new ignition coil, new ignition wire set and new spark plugs probably the car would start again.
I was completely wrong and so was that bullshit mechanic.

So i told all the situation to a guy who works on Volkswagen and he said that the problem is inside the ECU memory (possible burned) or that BLACK MAGNETIC ANTENNA near the ignition key because that device controls the IMMO.

    One thing is for sure:
Everytime i turn on the ignition key i listen to the fuel pump working and i see the fuel getting out inside the TBI but there is no energy out to the spark plugs !

Can someone help me, please ?

Or i have to buy a second hand car just because my Peugeot is no more useful ?

    Thanks for your attention !

If it were me, and it’s not, i would have asked the first mechanic to fix it and paid him when he gave me the key to start it up and only if it did, but that’s just my way of thinking “go on then put your money where your mouth is”. Certainly wouldn’t buy anything and fit it on the chance he was right.

anyway, i’m Not helping, am I, so i’ll wander off.

    Hi

Does it have a rev counter does it flicker when the engine is cranked?
Have you had a look at the crankshaft sensor
