post the cas dump here some one will help
A customer called to say that he had replaced a burnt out starter and it wouldn't work.
I attended and using BMW MultiTool did a CAS/DME synch which claimed to have completed properly. I've done this many times before without issue.
The car then died. No ignition, no power nothing. I had a CAS 3 in my bag, I plugged it in and it came back to life, but obviously wouldn't start.
INPA can read every module bar the CAS and I can't connect to the CAS using MultiTool with the unit on the bench.
The CAS unit is dead. We are now suspicious that the CAS module was the problem all along and a burnt out starter was a misdiagnosis. My customer bought the car as a non runner and was told it needed a starter motor!
Does anyone know anyone who can anyone repair it and either give me a virgin unit back - I can recode it with winkfp - or recover it?
Thanks in advance for assistance

I can't get anything I have to connect to it to read it. I have an R270 somewhere. I'll dig it out and see if I can get it connected.
