Default vectra c 1.9 cdti 150ps fuel pressure problem

    Hi guys,
looking for some pointers about low fuel pressure non starter.

    Its a 1.9 cdti 150 16v.
Originally the car had high fuel pressure and the ecu kicked in and stopped it from starting. It was cured with a replacement fuel metering valve on the back of the high pressure pump.

Now im wondering if the high fuel pressure problem has damaged or blew off a pressure release valve inside the pump.

Ive replaced a few parts including fuel rail and sensor, another fuel metering valve, fuel filter and also changed the intank pump.
The only parts left to change in the fuel system are high pressure pump and injectors.
I have got a leak off tester but I doubt it would prove much as I believe the injectors need a fair bit pressure before they work.
Do you think the High pressure pump could be the likely fault as said diagnostic scanner shows no rail pressure when cranking.

if you don,t have a big leak of fuel on return line of the injectors /if this happens you will never see the that the value of the pressure rissing when you crank the engine) the only way to fix is to change the high pressure pump.So all what you need to do is to check the return points of each injector for leaks ,but remember that ,if your high pressure pump indeed don,t make pressure is impossibile to see this leaks.Afterwords ,to see pressure leaks you need pressure,

Thanks very much pal for replying.

I just changed the pump this morning. Got one cheap from Ebay last week.
You are correct it was the High Pressure Pump.
Opcom was showing no rail pressure at all.
So its not that bad a job to change one of these.
Started up and runs now, have just to reconnect everthing

Now got a bit of pressure build up on the return fuel line and leak from small hose from injector spill hose.

Its the one that connects to an accumulator damping device that bolts to the back of the rocker cover.

the leak off pipe connects to the small pipe hiding just behind right rear

The hose starts to leak diesel when the priming pump in the tank is running and all the time when car is running.

Could there be a blockage or restriction in the fuel return to the tank?
