The most common faults on the BE6693 are:
1.CD mechanical faults
2.Phone sim card holder damage
3.LCD with lines or dead
4.Audio output IC faults
5. My favourite fault is when other people try to rework the BGA chips in order to make the unit work.
The unit works for a few days and then stops. When I get these reworked units I simply send it back to the owner.
Some units work on the bench without problems and others don't. This depends on the MOST configuration of the car. The unit is not switching on because it wants to see the car amplifier,CDC,Navigation drive etc... Making a MOST loop connector will not work. The radio wants to see the equipment that is in the car.
The set must be prepared in order to work on the bench. Some factory tools and software is needed. Like this below.
Just in case some of you send me PM's or personal emails for further help...I will not respond.
