As title how is this done pls i see people are using old cards but updated on ebay so is it just a case of copy/pasting some files?

If correct FSC installed.Any SD card will do.
It will copy to internal memory.

Apparently media pro has maps for life so just copy 26gb data onto 32gb sd card insert and wait upto 4hrs for it to transfer to head unit

Instead of protecting the map contents with SD Card CID and PIN Codes,they moved to internal protection within unit.
FSC codes bind map activation to cars VIN.
Install that unit into another car and FSC code will invalidate,thus preventing navigation usage.
