vauxcom driver help

Hi Can anyone tell me exactly how to load vauxcom [or opcom v1.70] on my computer running xp please .I can get the program to load but when i plug the usb in to a port it says found new hardware and asks me to install the drivers for it but when i try it gets half way thru and stops saying it cant find the drivers .VERY annoying .I bought it from ebay but it has no loading instructions on the disc and i cant find anything on the net for loading into xp .Many thanks Bill
