i found this info about this problem:

If both FM & AM reception on your radio is good then it seems the RF system is operating properly. It uses the same long distance antenna as the key.

Do you have a spare key to try?
If not it appears that the RF side of your key has failed & you will need a new one.
The RF antenna is embedded in the glass with the heating/demisting element.

If you point the key at the door handle from about max 10 feet away the key is operating by infra red not RF. At greater distance it operates by radio frequency.

The batteries in the key energise both the RF side of the key & the IR side of the key. That little red widow in the end of the key & on the door handle are the IR sender & receiver.

To complicate issues - when you put your key in the ignition then the EIS (electronic ignition switch) energises the key inductively like your electric toothbrush charger.
Once you have the key in the ignition the batteries do nothing.

No computer will show you fault about malfuntion on antenna. The antenna is powered by rear SAM.

use sds go to rear sam actual values and you will se transmitter key signal ,press any button and will say valid signal if key belongs to car and antenna sees thus value. You can also test with key from another car but results will say key not valid. no change in signal means signal usually means key antenna bad. antenna in back window towards top
