Default Golf MK5 Bosch MED9.1 - Cloning question

    Hello guys,

i need confirmation that my plan will work:
I have a faulty ECU form a AXX engined Golf MK5 GTi (HW: 0261S02079, SW: 1037387568, SW upg.: 1K0907115A 0070)
The issue I am having is that i CAN NOT read the ecu with BDM (damage).
I can however read the flash via OBD and EEPROM via Carprog.

My question is: Can i swap the EEPROM to the donor ECU (slightly older ECU variant) (HW: 0261S02078, SW: 1037387570, SW upg.: 1K0907115 0070) and reflash it with the original file via OBD?
I know this is not a recommended cloning method. Is there any flash/mcu memory area that will be missing? Will the car start?

Original ECU flash (read via OBD) and EEPROM (read by Carprog) are in the attachment.

    Anyone?
From the info i gathered OBD and BDM read should be the same on this ECUs.
I compared a few similar MED9.1 BDM reads with my flash and as far as I can see all data areas are in OBD read.
I would like a confirmation if someone had experience with this before i open up the donor ECU.

Can anyone extract PINs from those two ECUs please?
I will try to adapt a new ECU with VCDS.

    Hi!
Thank you but I already tried this solution.
    It did not work.

Your Flash is already tuned and several maps are corrupt. Better start with an original file.

I know that both of them are modified.
Thanks for the replays, the customer took the ECUs elsewhere for BDM recovery.

I do not mean the modification alone. Look at the maps. Some 8bit were tuned in 16bit mode.
    Crap, shit. Corrupt

Junkyard ECU (donor) we can now assume why that car ended up there
