Ive had a 2007 Astra H convertible brought in with the roof not operating. Not a lot left in the boot, looks like every man and his dog been looking at it.
The usual wiring rubbed through where it runs up the left hand side boot hinge. This is turn has blown a 1NV04D dual power mosfet (double n-type switching IC) in the roof module. (Comes up with no switched earth fault code if you get the same fault - middle 1NV04D faulty).
Originally with the faulty IC there was no live data changing regardless of any switch positions being altered. Now the module is repaired there are no fault codes and live data alters as the switches I can see are operated. Also, when the roof switch is operated there are 3 bongs. By the looks of it everything seems to be OK but there is maybe a switch or sensor somewhere that is in the wrong position. There are no messages on the dash screen either.
Has anyone got one of these cars and an OPCOM that can give me the live data with the roof up (and also down) so I can compare it to what I have so I can figure out what isn't right. I can see the luggage protection is active but this changes status when the cover is pulled. Maybe its something as simple as boot not shut sensor somewhere.
These are the pictures of what I have:
Thanks in advance.
<EDIT> These pictures are correct for operation of the roof from closed ! </EDIT>

It turns out the problem was an intermittant boot latch microswitch. Some bell end had prized the boot open originally instead of using diagnostic to open the boot when the roof module was faulty. You need to look at live data in the REC to see the boot open status and not the roof module live data. Strangely enough on this one there wasn't a warning on the dash to say the boot wasn't shut properly. Also, another symptom of this faulty module is when you open the door the window drops a fraction as usual but when you close it the window doesn't go back up (and the boot won't open from the switch on the boot).
Anyway, for anyone who needs them, here are the pictures of the correct live data with the roof down.

ON TOPIC:-
sorry missed used this thread, there is a thread from 2013 with live data, search Astra h twin top by google.
also, which is not mentioned anywhere in the universe the (VAGUE MODE ON) two switches in the boot, lie on your back legs out trunk, one on your left, one on the right (VAGUE MODE OFF) these are wired in series, if some knob pulled emergency release short one switch out with temporay link, other one bit of flymo cable, short out/open then reinstate .
also you only have to sneeze and you WILL get roof tawtting the bodywork.
hos did you discover the fett fault?

Just looked at wiring diagram and as everything is usually weak 12v or weak 5v pulled down to earth u can see two lines with one one them the more obvious for the line that looks like an earth. Traced it back into the module and it went to one channel of a dual FET with the other side of the FET physically connected to earth. As the fault said no switched earth it had to be that.

Nevermind the diagram, post some pictures from the race

Great info there dude thank you and some great views also by the looks of it .
Sober up and upload some race pictures please....
Don't make me spam your thread...with my pictues...
This weekend, the village i live in will be full of noisy cars and boy racers
Think is the second stage of Dunlop National Hill Climb Championship
Short (5 km) stage so there will be some engines blown and crashes as always...
Last year promo vid...

Here's the diagram. Only from that program 'egg'.
rar file contains xps printout and is better quality...
(Can't remember now which pin on the module was the switched earth output. I'm sure it was B3 (blue plug). This goes through roof position switch and feeds an earth to all the switches at the top left of the diagram. I think the fault code was B1405 - ground output circuit < summat like that anyway).

thanks a million

Hello,
I'm glad I found this forum and clues to my fault
I've same error " B1405 - ground output circuit"
Despite the repair of the wires at the hinge level,
After reading this post, i have dismount the ecu
desolder the "1NV04D" componants, and test it
but I spot no fault on it, the diod between "source" and "Drain" of the components are OK, on the other hand on the card, without the components I have a slight resistance to earth on the "DRAIN1" of the components 1NV04D location of the center.
I ordered new 1nv04d, but I have a doubt that this corrects the defect?
Thank you in advance for your feedback
ps: sorry if it is a little difficult to understand me, i am not english
