    Question 2010 Mazda 3 2.2D dpf problems

    Hi all the missus has a 2010 Mazda 3 2.2D ( 150 ) which is giving me a headache.

Its is keep failing dpf regens so the engine management light is on, traction control light is on and dpf light is flashing.

I read that sometimes those combinations are because it needs service and the oil has become degraded with fuel getting dumped into the oil, so I give it a service with new low ash 5/30 C1 oil and new filter and reset the lights with the wire to ground pressing the accelerator truck, it come back on a few mins later.

Ive checked the rubber pipes to dpf pressure sensor and they look fine and not perished, so next step is to try the old jet wash trick by hoping to jet wash all the crap out, failing that it will be getting mapped and dpf deleted from the ecu.

Does anyone know if there is a way to test the 4 sensors in the dpf or test the pressure sensor before I go down the remapping route? Or if there is any things that commonly fail causing the dpf to stop regens?

    thanks

    lee

if DPF regeneration starts and does not end several times, then this type of problem appears. The solution is to remove the DPF and its manual cleaning. You can use Coca-Cola as the cheapest cleaning agent.

Coca Cola? Never heard of that one. Jet wash it through then pour coke in it? Like a 2 litre bottle worth?

IF you go down the remap road, your asking for trouble. For a start you can kiss goodbye to a M.O.T. A grand fine from plod and hey you give all the kids lung cancer. Just get it fixed.

None, used the known Mazda trick of a wire from a terminal in the fuse box to ground then pumped the pedal 5 times

Dont know a lot about Masdas but can you not get Delphi OBD scanner and try a forced regen.
I know you can with Vauxalls with Opcom scanner.

Have you had trouble before with DPF regens ?

Forscan will do the job m8, i use it a lot. Just keep in mind though, its not possible if you have fault codes in pcm.

Thanks for the help lads got it sorted by using forscan. Had to clear the fault codes in the PCM, clear the learned values of the DPF to keep the light off long enough to get the static regen started. Took 3 attempts but did get there in the end, so I've got some more new oil and filter to change the oil again since it more than likely dumped diesel into it with the 2 failed attempts.

Now the only fault showing in the PCM is something about injectors need learned, is that something that can be done with forscan or is it a dealer job?

    cheers
