    Default Megane/Clio

I have a customers Clio III with a Megane R26 engine fitted run by a Sagem S3000 ECM. Coolant fan is running all of the time with no DTC's related to the problem. In engine data the Fan command is activated though. Looking at the data I can see the coolant temp (Vdiag 4C) at a correct value, but there is also a Coolant Temp (Vdiag 44) at -44 C, which would indicate a default value if the sensor was open circuit or disconnected. I have searched everywhere but cannot find another coolant temp sensor or connector, any idea's.

    Thanks
    John

    Hi,
the fan runs when the car cant dee the ecu.
Are you using "clip" to check multiplex network.
The temp situation is not relevant just default values.
FYI if you plug in another ecu clip will see it if not you have break in wire.

    Hi,
Usually this indicates a bad ECU but first do the tests advised on the above posts...

    Good luck!
