Default Info /Advice please VW polo 9n3 2008

    Hello Folks
I recently got a 2008 vw polo with 1 key
have always done my own servicing / repairs and had an old opel astra with opcom for diagnostics

If I wanted to make a new key for the polo my understanding is that I would need the pin code from the instrument cluster
I have picked up a chinese clone vcds for diagnostics ( error codes and the like ).

It says the instrument cluster is
Component:KOMBIINSTRUMENT AGD V04 which I beleive is Magnetti Marelli
    Component: IMMOBILIZER AGD V04

What tool would I need to get to read the eeprom in the cluster I have seen vag pro can and K line would this be suitable ?.
and with future proofing in mind if I ever needed to replace the cluster
This car does not appear to be can bus
as both the vcds and the Launch creader connect only in K:line

Thanks for taking the time to read
    and any replies much appreciated

No way you will read this dash via OBD. You need to dismantle cluster and read 9s12 motorola by external programmer like Xprog.

And next time post such thread in dashboard / immo or locksmith section
