I prefer vcds because you can log your sensors.
It's a must have for a good chiptuning

vcds it´s easier to use, and you will find a lot of tutorial videos on youtube...

but also without tutorial videos, it´s easy...

but there are also ecu´s for example airbag units... last week I had a LT 2015... I could read it without issues, but not delete DTC...

at the end I take VAS out of bag, and VAS + Odis did it...

my opinion take both, the clones are cheap... VCP is also not bad to have it...

vas5054a China clone can support diagnosis, online/offline programming, has more functions than vcds China copy.

vagcom is much faster, but You need to know what to look.

ODIS haw guided fault find, but it it is painfuly slow, using it when You hav problem.
