you get that message when cluster isn't synced to car. did you have another way around virginize and initialize the cluster? is so pass please.

This guide is made by me using the informations found on the internet and testing on cars. You don't need any kind of special equipment like MB Star or AVDI, only a programmer.

Any chance to move the service history from the old cluster to the new one?

Yes, this method is used to sync dashboard with EZS. But if you have old dashboard, you can transfer everything by eeprom swap ,including service history and mileage.
