Default BMW 1 Series F20 2011 FEM Dealer Key Programming

    Hi all,

    Hoping someone can help.

I have a BMW F20 2011 FEM Keyless lost keys. Unfortunately VVDI2 cannot read isn from this particular ECU so I ordered key from the dealer. Connected VVDI2 and can read FEM (all keys are enabled). But the problem is that because the alarm is going off (had to manually unlock the vehicle) it won't allow me to synchronize the new remote.

Anyone know how to disable this to allow new key to match (dealer key). I have VVDI2 (all auth), BMW ICOM and Launch.

Usually when I buy FEM dealer key, I would just unlock using working remote, leave working remote away from vehicle. Put new remote near steering column and hold start/stop button.

I also experiment with another F20. If you lock the vehicle with remote. Then open with key (so alarm goes off) and you press start/stop button it does not give you message on dash "key not found"

    Surely something simple

Dealer key for FEM is already coded...... just use it , or someone has played with car in the past

Nobody played with car. Just keys lost. If you read the original post, because alarm is going off won't allow you to use a new remote. I'm looking for a solution for this problem!

I had exactly the same car a few weeks back.
Cluster did not produce the hold key near column message when I pressed the start button.
The car was stolen and recovered and I had to unlock it by picking it, there was no alarm but it had been locked by the remote.

If you check, there should be a signal coming from the emergency coil when you press the start stop button.

I had to hold it there, with the key continually pressed for about 3 minutes before it would accept the key.

That's great, going to try as fallen suggested but if not I'll take you up on the offer. What time would suit you? What would you actually do (maybe I can try myself)

    Appreciate everyone's input

Hi, I have not sorted this yet. Tried Fallen's method but not succesful. I will connect ISTA later today and report. I have 2 of these sitting in my garage both with exactly the same situation so we can clearly rule out any previous tampering. If you figure it out please post and I will do the same.

    Thanks

Idea that may or may not work.

What about making a second key on the bench using the dealer key to get the isn?

With vvdi2 it activated the keys I had made once the fem was reinstalled. Not sure if it would matter the car was locked with the fob as it would be the same as akl with the ability to read the ecu isn.

Have not tried this, just a brainstorm for the given situation.
