Default PSA hu83 ignition lock repair

    Hello guys,

Ignition locks, HU83 extended key. 36.410.600 partnumber. 36410600 (reading coil number 9663123380 )

    How can we open these,

    IMG_20231115_212952899.jpgIMG_20231115_213002432.jpg
On the lower halve, there is a hollow spanner wedge in. I might get that out.
The upperhalve, a hole, with in the bottom, 2mm diameter hard steel pin.

    Any tips,

    Thanks

You have to pull out 2 pins like on second photo. Drill next to it and ease them out. Next put any blade (without head, only blade) and the barell will slide out thru the back of housing.

The lock will not turn fully, 0 to 1, but not futher.
    Will that be a problem?

This lock, it only has one pin, in the lower halve,
    Some have 2,

Ok i will give it a go.

    Thank you.

Hmm... I dismantled and repaired like 20 of them and there were always 2 pins on the top.

Also I never met coditions where it would turn to the 1 position and not further, unless one big spring is misplaced during reasembling but this one was not touched before

Spot only a few where it would turn to position 1 only with Lishi but then I would just slide Lishi out, put screwdriver and with more force turn to 2 position. If I had a key, it would turn normally. With Lishi there was less tension.

In this ignition only worn wafers are problem.

2011 Peugeot expert. the lock switch, they removed to start the car with a screw drive.
The lock turned freely with ori key, only from 0 to 1 , so it must be the spring, or something else broken.
Shims, and key itself look fine.

I will open it, and take some pictures.

The newer locks, have been made out of black plastic.
I will also get me on of these.

These new black lock, they can be openend, the same way?

on this lock you must have ignition part in housing if you remove ignition switch and turn key lock stop
then You have to remove metal cap on lover part under metal is little spring and reterner that locks on turn or remove locking part
they you will be able to turn it

look in place wher ignition switch stand you will seed little part sticking

On the first picture you can see blocking rod tip. It gets activated when ignition switch is removed. It's made to prevent stealing attempts. This rod releases spring loaded pin(pic 2-5) that blocks column locking bar.
And depending of column locking bar position in which is activated blocking pin you may not be able to turn barrel from pos I to the next
