Can't add new key to Lexus using techstream

Hi.

Seem to be having an issue adding a second key fob to a Lexus is300h hybrid 2014 f sport.

Since the key is previously used in other vehicle, when trying to add it the techstream/car states key cannot be added since it it registered to another vehicle. Ok normal for used key apparently.

OK, I thought, I will reset the smart key ecu and re add it by re-seeding it using option 'smart key reset' (which is similar to immobiliser reset).

Only problem is there is no utility item labelled 'smart key reset' so now I'm stuck. Other videos show the smart key ecu remove/re add option listed


Any ideas welcome.

resset the key with tango than you can adapt with techstream without problem

Thanks for the replay.

I have only the one key and this problem. Tango is mega bucks and would be not much good to me after solving one key issue.

I need cheaper option unfortunately

Find someone with tango near you and get your key resetted.

or just buy a new key.
