Ive only used SP it on 8 vehicles. Failed on simple things it really should be doing... that the mvp is doing no problem

Peug 206 - front fogs -AKL - couldnt get remote to sync by holding lock button while ignition on. So pulled out the x300. 60 seconds both keys programmed and remote working,
vw sharan 2009 - cant pull pin that works... AD updated my software, still cant - x300 couldnt either kw1281
Citroen c4 2008 add key... wouldnt do it tried many different sequences. Go one key to work, inbetween 2 keys not working... got the x300... 60 seconds .. job done
Seat toledo 2002 - add remote only (manual process wouldn't work as lock broke) SP would not do it despite me trying for 10 minutes... x300 did in 60 seconds

There's 10's of dozens of failures being recorded on the AD forum, as well as others liking it. I done such a small amout of cars that i dont think my sucess rate is indicative of the overall success rate... problem is i don't have the MVP pro as back up so x300 is important for me to have working. At this moment i couldnt be confident using the SP to do a car where i have to delete all keys to add a spare... Id be up $hit creek without any backups.

But im straying away from the thread topic... its about the OBD star

I hate to say it but that was kind of awesome to hear

I personally love to know what people failed on and what they used in the end

Like that shit should be in a database already

I find it sad to read , AD were always one of the most trusted and most reliable units to own , it was hoped that silca taking over would elevate them to new heights , though this seems not the case at present.

i can see the potential in smart pro and in their defence they are working hard to fix things , even so it was released far too soon with far too many issues , customers were not warned of the issues when buying of course and have been treated badly , the free utp not being extended until issues are resolved , tokens not being refunded on fails since utp ended .

on reading the various forums and pages and groups , many having issues , still far too many issues and failures , all in all not the release AD customers were used to. then you read of china kit succeeding when smart pro fails and it brings home the reality of the new order .

i personally find it sad reading , but conclude that its a very different outfit to it once was , i still believe the machines potential will be reached and it will become a great unit , though i also believe alot of trust has been lost which will take far longer to fix .

at present its wise to wait before upgrading the old unit , in hindsight i should of waited instead of being loyal and upgraded when sorted , lesson learnt.

A question for the boffins on here, Would it be correct to say that x300 pro 3 full version and x300 DP full version, has the same coverage with regard to Immo / key programming? or am i way out here?

Failed to program Ford Ranger 2012 with the H100 & I'm yet to find a car that this programmer will work on.
As soon as it either adds a remote, adds a key, all keys lost & does something other than just tell me how many keys are programming into the car, I will post my finding.

So far not one car has ever worked by any way shape or form.
