    Default Ford F150 - 2002 - Speedometer Help

    Hi Guys

    Ford F150 - 2002 - in for mileage.

    White Board with HC11 3E22B.

Read with Enigma, Miles read correctly and Modified.

However on plugging back into car, Speedo Dead.

Only Bulbs Light up, such as Airbag and ABS, Mileage display is also dead, and CAR DOES NOT START!

Tried editing Dump back to normal with Same thing.

I have checked the dump against a Donor and it looks okay, so maybe speedo now faulty?

Has anyone ever had this problem before?

Would really appreicate the help as this is pretty urgent.

    I have attached Dump.

Most likely bad read and edit, now dump corrupt which also contains pats info that why vehicle wont start. If thats the case you'll need Ford software IDS and 2 keys and parameter reset.

How did you hook up to MCU? wires or cluster plug?
Any time you solder to MCU pins that are small you run a risk of damage, improper read etc. Been doing this for 3 years and I am still intimidated my soldering to MCU pins unless its a 50-80 pin "Larger pins" then again I have bad eyes. Dump issue and/or MCU damage or bridged pins etc.

I wired up by soldering to points on back of board.

Dump read was okay. Compared to Donor Files.

I even wrote a good donor back but Speedo Still dead.

Checked all of board for Solder Shorts, nothing.

Did you ever figure this one out? I am having the same issues with a 2003 F150 SuperCrew Harley Davidson truck I am working on. Using UPA-USB I get a good read, edit miles and program, verify program and now the instrument cluster is dead unless I need to do a PATS relearn first but I recall plugging the replacement MPH cluster in when it got here and it worked perfectly with just the theft light blinking now I have nothing, no odometer just some warming lights

    No mate.

Had to buy a new cluster and relearn via IDS.

That one had a green board.

Customer still moaning though saying Speedo is out, but at least it works.

Looking for another white board one but I dont wanna risk it again.
