    Default SIM4LE cloning W203

    Hello guys,

    W203
    Sim4LE SIM4 LE
    29F400

    old A1111531879 5WK9 0403 (1) hw 44/00 FD 09W01
    New A1111531879 5WK9 0403 (1) hw 44/00 FD 50W01


    Water damaged ecu needs to be replaced.
    Car starts sometimes with old, and fan does not stop.


    I understand that reading it by obd is not full.
    29F400 holds eeprom and flash.


    Can i swap the 29f400 itself, or do i need to swap the data with a programmer?




    Making it virgin, using vvdi mb.
    I dont have the cables, i will order these.
    So this not a option for this job.

    You can switch the eprom and put on New ecu...

    I make this on w211 ecu and start ok..

    But, the best is make a copy of old ecu with Ktag and program on CPU, eprom and flash of New ecu.

    After this, install New ecu on car, switch ignition first stage and wait 30 secs ... Switch off and wait more 30 secs... Repeat 3 times...

    Try it...

    Used my TL866A today, every reading is different.
    I took the amd29f400bb of the board.
    No idea why it does this, i think that the tl866a is not working correct.

    I could not find a way to read it using ktag, so i used the tl866a.

    Now my orignal data is probable corrupted, and i still dont now how to read this amd correct.

    Best is not to use any of programmers.
    1: connect ecu on bench according to diagram. No need for K line only CAN.
    2: Unlock VIN and activation block using any MB tool.
    3: Perform activation using DAS.
    4. Perform coding according VeDoc documentation.
    5: take money.
    Guided fault finding = Feature that many factory scan-tools have and real technician despise it.

    Only swap 29f400
    When car not start need resolder again.
    When you will copy flash read flash many time with verify.
    My willem programmer same story with read flash, is crazy but many time read and you will read the right data ;-)

    two ways...
    - swap 29F400, did try ?
    - virginise either 29F400 if they are still not corrupted, and coding with Star. Need programmer and may need variant coding !

    I cleaned the amd better, and used some fine sandpaper.
    Now it read the same over and over.
    Could someone check this dump.
    My version off ecu clear does not accept these, i tried several dumps.

    Just like to now, that the data is fine!29F400BB org.rar

    i swapped amd, i can now read it on bench by obd, so probable solved.

    1. Connect all cables as described in the picture instructions.
    2. Connect the boot pin (Permanent), pay attention to any deviation in the picture
    (Boot Pin values 5.7KOhm to 8.0KOhm) for the following processors ST10xx / C167)
    3. Connect all current carrying pins with permanent plus (Important).
    4. Power on and read or write
