Hyundai Getz immo issue

Getz 2002.
Sometimes the immo logo on dash is seen but sometimes nothing at all.
Two working keys now will not start the vehicle.
Tried to programme them back in but still car will not start.
After entering pin code programmer screen then showed failed to programme.

Any advice many thanks.

check ariel ring around ignition , if ok check ecu for water ingress

Hi,
I did use a antenna ring tester, type with red led on for when you switch on ignition.
This led lit up sometimes but not always.
I also noticed the same scenario with the immo car / key logo on the dash.

Problem is SMARTRA, if light not came up when testing. I repair some this module before.

When smartra is bad, you have no immo light on dash, like as key not recognised or bad.

Is the SMARTRA the box that the Antenna loom plug connects into.

very common problem of plug from antenna coil gets bad connection-bypass 2 pin plug under column, have done a few of these

Morning,

I have bypassed the antenna ring but still no car immo logo on screen.
I have ordered a replacement smartra to try.

I didnt even find the item on the vehicle ???
I have removed the lower trim panel below the steering wheel & can now look directly at the pedals with the fuse box on the right hand side.

Is the smartra behind the fusebox as i dont see anything.
My antenna has only 2 wires white/black,these wires then go into a loom and dissapears.

Can you advise where this smartra actually is located.

I have removed the white plug and soldered the 2 wires together as i read plug can be the issue.Doing this still leaves me with NO car immo key logo on dash

OK,
If antenna was an issue would the car immo light on the dash still be visable ?

I have used a antenna coil tester & 50/50 with its results,meaning the red led flashes.

BUT i have not seen car immo logo on dash

Thousands of Hyundai / Kia cars have a problem with the smartra system, For manage this design error exist emulator board, that replaces the all smartra system, You get smartra box out from the car , the coil and the transponder is also not needed...
For Adding this device is simply only need PINCODE and diagnostic device, connect 3 wires and add emulator via diagnostic procedure like add key
NOT matter what type ECU car have
