Gents,
Hooked up the XProg-M as per connection diagram above.
Unfortunately I get an Unknown Device error...
I use Xprog-m V5.0 software.
Looking at the screen of the device selection this mask is not mentioned there.
Is it possible that this version does not know the 0L01Y mask?
I found a version 5.55 posted here on the forum including ATMega firmware.
Should I try to ugrade my Xprog-M?
Did any one dump successfully EEPROM/Flash with Xprog-M V5.0 from 0L01Y mask micro?

Hey. You choose the wrong processor.
Msmax (19th September, 2018)
@IchBins: not yet, will try that so we know if it has something to do with the micro.
@MVVL: Perfect mate... that was the problem. droidwayne65 did mention the right type but I missed that.. my mistake.
So happy that I do not have to upgrade my Xprog-m. It is a clone but the PCB and parts are of high quality and works perfect.
So, I finally managed to make an EEPROM + FLASH dump.
Can some one with more experience and tools please check for me if some thing wrong in there?
Does any one have a good working dump for this EIS in case mine is damaged?

eeprom OK.

Gents,
Any one has a know working FLASH for this EIS?
Last option is to try a new flash download as these units are very hard to get for a reasonable price with exactly the same part number.
Please check if you have one lying around and read the Flash for me... Thanks in advance.
Update:
I found a post on the forum with the flash file attached.
Downloaded and compared with my file and both are identical.
So, last option is to find my self an EIS with the same part number and write the EEPROM with the data from the old one.
Once again I like to thank you guys for helping me out on this.

Try this flash
Msmax (20th September, 2018)
Guess what...
I thought let me write my flash back in the micro as this device is now paper weight.. what is the risk..
As soon I pressed write after some blank check errors I heard a click from the EIS and an device ID error popped up in Xprog-M.
Strange...
disconnected the EIS from Xprog and connected to the MB EIS Test Platform...
plugged in the key... heard a click and the key is turning, which did not happen for the last 5 days.
Sometimes... I just can not explain why things start to work.

Last update...
After few days the EIS stopped working again.
I ordered 2 new micro's and will replace the micro. Just to see if that solves this problem.
I have the Flash and the EEPROM data saved.
The micro is secured... any instructions how to program the new micro?
thanks for the thread updates.
Guys,
Can some one please generate key files for me for the dump attached in post #19?
While waiting for the micro's to arrive I like to make a third key and check if that unlocks the EIS or not.
Thanks.

Update:
After a LOT of reading I know now that:
MB IR NEC Key Programmer ~$30 (cheap gold programmer).
- Need to remove the original NEC chip and solder on a pcb to be able to read and write.
- Renew is not needed as the programmer will just over write the chip with the generated key file.
MB IR Plus ~$150
- Can renew original NEC chip
- read and program original NEC chip via IR and RF
- read, write and renew BE (after market chinese) keys
- will show data from key: good for testing keys
MB IR Code Reader ~$24 (link below)
- Can only read, write, renew BE (after market chinese) keys
CGDI MB ~$600
- the best medium cost option to go for... can do almost all what is needed to repair EIS/ESL and make new keys
- reads data via OBD or IR, no need to desolder EIS micro's
For now I will order a MB IR NEC KEY PROGRAMMER... is a good start I think as I only have 2 EIS (W639 & W220) for repair now.
Like to hear your professional experienced opinions guys.
Hello guys,
Thank you for your support with the EIS and keys for the trouble I have with this W639.
I really like to find out what exactly the problem is with this EIS.
Many people just bring from yard and reprogram to work with the car, but we still do not know what fails in the EIS.
Is it the micro or something else on the circuit board?
I ordered the micro and will replace that to find out. If that does not solve the problem then I will continue with the rest of the board.
I asked very happily for the key files on the forum (thanks for those), but I think my programmers do not support the NEC chips.
I have the UPA-USB V1.3 original and the Xprog-M 5.0
In both I can not find the NEC 567897081 chips or any connection diagram for those to UPA or Xprog.
I need your advise to buy a reasonable priced eraser/programmer for these NEC key chips.
Also, I am looking for a tester for reading keys...
One in which I will plug in the key and be able to test the key coil function, IR function etc etc.
I have the MB Key tool, but that only tests the RF and IR function and not the coil and or data inside.
Do you know the MB IR Code Reader?

Any experience with this?

Small update...
NEC IR Key Programmer arrived...
Did make key number 3, did not turn in the EZS. Still locked.
Micro's arrived too... next step is to replace the micro and check the results.
Any advise on programming the new micro?
Is there any other EIS partnumber which is compatible with this one?
It is very hard to find exact the same EIS for a reasonable price.
9S12 NEVER fail.........and that EIS is available on ebay from 50$........
Guided fault finding = Feature that many factory scan-tools have and real technician despise it.
