MED17.2? these have unique codes, you must rebuild file to clone
Hi
My 2010 mini cooper R57 have bad ecu, I get a same pn ecu and change the eeprom that have the bin number from the bad ecu to the donor one. The car start but doesn't turn on. I use my scan tool and have the bin of the car (on the ECU)and have this fault on ecu DME:EWS ANTI-TAMPERING PROTECTION. This fault is from the immo, if the ECU have Other eeprom for the immo. How I identify to swap to the donor ecu. I will appreciate the help. The ecu number is 7601759 BOSCH if some one have wiring diagram can help me.
Thanks

AUTOTUNER, FLEX ,X17, TRASDATA / NEW GENUIS AND ALIENTECH MASTER OWNER.
FULL SWIFTEC AND EVC RESELLER
FILE SERVICE FROM 8AM - 9PM 7/7
BAPRO 4WD DYNO
how I can do.
Do you tried sync ews with dme? with avdi or icom?
No ,what I need to do that . I am new in this. only swap the Vin eeprom and doesn't start. that is some scanner program with cable to attach on the obd2 port.
Is it diesel or petrol? Diesel has short ISN and might need to be synchronized, but petrol has long ISN and should just start if the ISN in the ECU matches the ISN in the CAS.
You could make a full BDM dump and restore it to the donor ECU. It has OTP but that's not the location where the ISN is stored.
post your both ecu files here
Isn't that a part number for a 1.6L gas engine? It uses the long ISN, stored, password protected, in the Tricore flash, so you're gonna have to find some means to read or extract then write it to the CAS. I've had a rash of gasoline Minis, needing ecus, over the last year. It was relatively easy for those using the TC176x, since cloning was just a matter of swapping processor and eeprom to an identical replacement but others using the TC179x needed the ISN to be read.
