Default Sprinter start error 5p08 question

Seen a few files on DK of repaired ECU 95P08 dumps. These for auto coding when fitted back to vehicle assuming IMMO box is ok.

My question is that in these repaired dumps from DK the 3rd byte changed is 0xFF but using the Sprinter,Vito v1.3 repair software the 3rd byte is set to 0xE5.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

    2nd question

Asking these as my friends 2000 311cdi sprinter has start error. I have identicle van, same year. If his immo box is faulty could I get a good immo box to replace his and clone data from my ecu and immo box into his and use a spare transponder chip from my vehicle. is there anything else that would need doing?

    Thanks in advance...
