    Any history of coolant replacement? (E.g. timing belt, water pump or EGR cooler replacement, crash accident, etc).

    First of all, check the temperature blend doors (flaps) for proper operation.

    Secondly, if the above is fine, mos tlikely the problem is clogged heater core. It's a pain to replace it... You can try to (back)flush it with some garden hoses before attempting to replace it.

    If you will be flushing it with tap water, be sure to drain the system afterwards thoroughly, fill in with just distilled water, run the car for a few days, then drain, fill with only distilled again. Run for some more days.

    Only after the above has been done, you can refill with coolant. I'd suggest making a concentrate to -45 *C for such setup. The remaining distilled water in the system will dillute it and in the end you will be somewhere at -38 *C; just what you want it to be.
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.
