    required 80000 miles

    It's a Passat B6 cluster, and can only be done by OBD, not by eeprom alone.

    What's not true? That it isn't a B6 cluster? Or that it can only be done by eeprom? :-P

    It's B6 3C0920960K Micronas CDC3297 + 24C32. Encryption key inside Micronas. I don't know how you want to do it by dump.
    On Micronas it is just possible by dump on CDC3272 (maskrom) fixed encryption key. Rare case is also VDO made in Mexico with 3HL instead of VDD in part description. These are also using some fixed key.
    Everything else needs Micronas dump or OBD access.

    hi thanks all for replies . i have carprog but it tells me to use option golf 5 06/2007 . but this option says unknown type 3c0 v1642 . anybody had this issue

    There are some variations in Micronas so there is a chance your tool (Carprog) doesn't support this version

    Hi, can someone help me to set distance to 10Km, that i could change to current value with VCDS. I try to retrofit B7 cluster to B6 passat.

    Eeprom 24c64
    Cluster VD1
    3AA 920 987 D
