I guess that some bytes which should be unique for each remote are the same, which can cause problem.
hi i have a customer who wants 2 freelander 2 remotes adding
however after i order 2 aftermarket remote from ebay, i see this on 3dgroup
https://3dgroupuk.com/product/view/LRR9c
it says
NOTE:
YOU CAN ONLY PROVIDE ONE REMOTE PER CAR ON THIS REMOTE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CODE 2 COPY REMOTES INTO ONE VEHICLE.
does anyone know why this is a problem, what will happen if i try to add 2 aftermarket remote to the car? thanks!
I guess that some bytes which should be unique for each remote are the same, which can cause problem.
yes maybe thats right, i just wonder if it would fail to program 2nd, or it would make some problem for the car.
original ok then add 1 after market key =2 working keys
add a 2nd after market key to make 3
1st after market key kicked out of the system
still only 2 keys programmed
Then waste of key after programmed its locked so used & door wedge ready for the bin
Original key will start the car but will not operate central locking, so customer wanted 2 new keys,
I will inform i can only add 1, because OEM remotes are really expensive.
Any ideas why current key wont operate central locking anymore?
