    Default Passat B7 steering problem

    Hi,

I have Passat B7 after accident. I have a strange case.
With the engine off, I can turn the steering wheel both ways all the way.

If the engine is on I can turn the steering wheel only to the left.
I can center the wheels, turn right, return to the middle position, but I can not turn the wheels to the left.

The symptom is not on the engine off - so it must be an electrical fault.

    Erros:
    03-ABS/Brakes
    00778 - Steering angle sensor (G85)
005 - No or incorrect basic settings / adaptation

I was trying to make adaptation of G85 but nothings happen.
Parameters from vcds in attached are like wheels and the steering wheel is straight.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    Greetings

Update, the tape (spilring) was checked and set to 0 - so it was ok.
As I mentioned, I can turn the wheel to the right with the engine off.

I tried to turn on engine on twisted in right wheels.

Surprise! - in this case the power steering works correctly in both directions.
When I turn off the engine on straight wheels and turn it on again - the situation repeats itself and I can not turn the wheel in right again.

Looks like the problem is related to torque sensor not angle. Have you tried calibrating the torque values?
Will it do the same with both front wheels lifted of the ground?
