you mean connecting EDC16 on the bench and searching ISN ? I have only CAS and ECU , the car is far away from me.
I am using genuine AVDI .

I have removed boot mode with CAS3 editor , I will compare it with my dump .
I have downgraded CAS and only need to extract ISN from ECU . I think VVDI2 can extract ISN from CAS cryted dump .
Can any one confirm that.

Treat it as plain CAS3 with the ISN in both already matched:37 C6. See no evidence of this being CAS3+ from the dump.

VVDI2 recognizes your CAS file as CAS3+ crypted file and informs that ISN is not readable from CAS it self so in order to make key it asks for 1. working key 2. ECU dump 3. known ISN (it asks for long one 16bit) 4. try start method
Since ECU dump EEP is provided i chose that option and it shows LONG 16bit ISN in zeros :0000000000000000 so that means there is no LONG 16bit ISN in this EDC16 ECU as it should be. This is a stupid mistake from Xhorse VVDI2 because in this situation only way to get ISN is with working key - that you don't have obviously or try start method.
I think for CAS3+ crypted with EDC16 ECU it is like this: ECU<-short ISN->CAS<-Long 16bit ISN->KEY I think only later with EDC17 ECU ther is Long 16bit unified ISN between ECU,CAS and KEY. If it would be EDC17 ECU that that ECU dump would be useful. So i think your best option for this car is make a backup of CAS module and then downgrading it and only then making a key from CAS dump.

You are absolutely right , this is very strange situation on this CAS. I know one more think now - that some one worked on it before I do and it is possible they could update CAS so I am heaving problems now to make new key.
I have downgraded CAS with AVDI online but it still ask for 16bit ISN from DDE.
I try to make transponder 7936 with tag tool so I can wake up system but still does not accept the key.
And my only problem is that I have only CAS and ECU , car is far away from me.

For this kind of job where car is away you should get CAN gateway module and maybe even dashboard so you can make bench test system to be able to turn on ignition and even make downgrade on table! This is how i started to play with CAS modules on table without bricking someones car.

I am using CAN BRIDGE from BimerRetofit but need to collect some other elements to have complete bench testng table.

If you have a donor cas3 with a working key with very low miles, plug it in. Use the start button,now the ecu will give isn uncrypted. You know what to do from here on. A working Cas with know key is the gateway to the isn being uncrypted. Is little trick I learn at Dustie class.
