    Default bmw cas3 mask olo1y

hello to DK memebers, hoping to get some help with this issue, bmw cas3 mask olo1y, i have read, complete eprom and flash and tried to write to another used cas3 black. it takes the program but still no communication. before doing any work on the cas, i have tried to read the used cas no problem. as soon as i write the dump back, the car loses communication. i have tried this twice and now i am stuck. i have used xprog and r270. i have read the used original files and saved them. when i write them back to the original -used- cas back, still no communication. this is very puzzling for me, why???????? can anyone shed any light on this problem. thank you

So the original had no communication. You got a donor that would comm but, of course, it had the wrong data. You wrote the original data to the donor and then that too lost comm. You wrote the donor's data back and even then the donor refused to comm. You've tried twice and you now have two units that won't communicate. Is that so? It's a CAS2 and the eeprom looks ok. Here's a good flash for that part number that you can try. You don't have the donor's original eeprom?

actually the 1st dump is the original eeprom. the flash is gone due to other shop messed with it. and you said exactly what i wrote. i connected the donor cas3, good communication. i took it out and worked on it, put it back no communication. wrote the original file back, for the donor and no communication again.

Use your Rosfar. Xprog usually expects much bigger files, formatted for it's use. Which is why I stopped using it for this kinda stuff.

No, I use them separate. Xprog read/write or rosfar read/write. Don't mix them

Can anoyone help me with this??????? This is whats happening, i can access the cas with the diagnosis, cant read the fault codes, it says, " failed reading codes" and cant access the datastream. It shows data but no values, like under TERMINALS IT wont show 30, 30r or 15.....all blank. I had tried with xprog and rosfar. Is it a tool issue? If som what tool can use to make this magic happen? Thank you
