For clusters from models 2002-2004 I´ve removed the blue coating with acetone or toluene. Then removed mcu with hot air, cleaned the legs with fresh solder and cleaned the pcb pads. Clean the pcb from resin /flux, resolder the mcu with flux and resolder the resistor nets.

    Should work 100%

Power up in bench with emulator or get a couple of CEM-units, wire them up and then gauge test via obd is possible.

when doing gauge sweep, gauges sweep ok.
but when doing ignition on test, none of the displays or lights come on.

It's strange that when doing "test" with carprog emulator all gauges sweep up and down. But when selectin "igntion on" nothing happens.
Is MCU also responisble for ingnition on or should I recheck reflow other components ?
