The problem is that Carsoft v6.5 was pirated from the original beta version and there are literally dozens of the knock-off versions in circulation. Look for a version with 10 files in the Crack folder (most have only 4) and use the ___?___ drop down menu of the program to view "Information about Carsoft v 6.5" and verify that you are running v6.5.06 (which includes SP1). V6.5.05 kept crashing when I first started using it, which is why Carsoft released SP1 I suppose. I have Carsoft MB v7.4 and Carsoft BMW v6.5 if anyone needs them.

Carsoft uses its own interface, most reliable units come from Carsoftwest in the US, who are factoy agents.

I have finished a project for the MB Carsoft 7.4 Multiplex and includes a PCB,dump for PIC and shematic.Software is very easy for the user and gives the user the basic things that can be made .Today, mechanics are not satisfied with it, but turns to the more advanced works.I think, primarily to changes after Oil and reset the inspection service they now reprogramm some of the modules, whose job is reserved for more professional faces.CARSOFT is quite good for people in need of diagnosis of type quick service or who do not enter too much into the advanced functions which are required knowledge of electrics and electronics.I have and other projects from Carsoft, working well enough, BMW 6.5, ...

I agree totally - good software for the home mechanic who does not profess to be a diagnostic genius, but wants to reset service intervals and be able to understand why he is getting a warning light on the dash without having to go to the dealer and pay a premium fo the information. It is also one of the relatively safe diagnostic tools that will allow you to clear error codes without bricking your car's modules.
