    Hi DK
I have a VP44 pump from a E46 320d, replaced burned transitor with IRLR2905, car started fine but died second day. My first guess is overheated transistor, although I used artic silver thermal compound. Is there a way to get a better cooling? Thermal adhesive is better? Thanks
    LE: Solved!

Fault in this case is voltage regulator ,replaced with 78S05 (1.5 amps) ,maybe an ordinary 7805 will work too ,current is about 0.17 amps

    Control Module Part Number: 8E0 907 401 M

    3 Faults Found

01318 - Control Module for Injection Pump (J399)
    03-00 - No Signal
01318 - Control Module for Injection Pump (J399)
    49-00 - No Communications
17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer
    P1570 - 35-00 -

in block 18 read as follows:

Supply voltage injection pump - 0.00V
Supply voltage from ECM - 11.83V.

Fuses O.K., supply and GND on conector is O.K, CAN is 120 ohm, original MOSFET is ok.
Pump doesn't communicate via k-line [focom, op-com, vr diag], and even after the power is there no sound as the other PSG5.

Is there any chance how to wake up the pump unit?

    Thanks for your help
I want to write private message to you, but error message says that you had exceeded message quota
Anyway, I have exactly the same problem as you had, can you tell me how you solved it?
