Fascinating posts....
Is it possible to substitute a Bosch 0470004007 for a 0470004002? Or indeed a -4006, -4008 ??
Thanks for any replies,

Hello. It is possible to use a transistor IRF 3205?
yes it is, i have made 2 pumps with 3205!
i use IRFP064N, but for FORD pump dont work good
I took some time reading through as much information as I could before removing the VP44 electronics from the injector pump a week ago. I have a 1999 Dodge Ram with 5.9 Cummins engine. I got the dreaded dead pedal after which it would only idle erratically if it started at all. I retrieved OBD codes P251, P1688, and P252. I removed the electronics and gave it to an electrical friend who has experience with this kind of stuff. He replaced the transistor with an IRLR2905PBF and I put it all back together. I erased all codes. The truck started and I was able to drive around the block until I got to the highway, as soon as I hit the pedal to go faster than 30mph something popped and I was back to dead pedal again with the same 3 codes. I removed the electronics once more and my electronics friend realized the transistor fried because it popped off of the epoxy. He removed it and put a new one on, this time he made sure to mix the epoxy well and waited 2 days before giving it back to me. I put it all back together but this time the truck won't start and it gives me 2 of the same code: P1689. I cannot clear these 2 identical codes and cannot get the truck to fire at all. I have checked the wiring from FPCM to ECM as well as power and ground, all is perfect,
I also checked the resistances with a fluke DVOM across the wires I had to cut to take off the electronics: I measure 9.4 ohms across the smaller gauge wires and 0.3 ohm across the larger gauge wires.
Does this sound about right? I'm guessing something must have gotten messed up on the injector pump electronics the second time around. Does anyone have any advice/help to offer?
irf3025 it doesnt work also on opel vp pomps
IRF 3205 works on audi 150bhp engine and for opel vp44.

As a follow up to my previous email I ended up removing the vp44 and taking it to a bosch certified rebuilder. The pump ended up being the original pump that came on my truck back in early 1999 (approaching 180,000 miles). They offered to disassemble the pump for me which I consented to as I was curious as to the condition of the internals. The main pressure piston was badly scored and the ring had a crack all the way through from OD to ID. The truck hadn't run well since I bought it used, the pump was worn out from the first day I drove it home with 170,000 miles. The rebuilt unit has upgraded electronics, an internal steel sleeve, as well as all the other updates bosch has made to these pumps over the years. I think the transistor repair did work but the bottom line is electronic repairs won't fix a mechanically worn out/damaged unit. I get a 1 year warranty on this pump, if it breaks after that with under 100,000 miles I will try this transistor repair again. Thank you for all the help Driver Gabriel.
