I've just used the IRFZ44N transistor replacement fix. I discovered that one of the the original transistor wires was broken possibly melted. The car started but the Transistor got very hot and then the car cut out. If this drives one of the solenoids could the solenoid be faulty?
I bought a few transistors and I can replace the new one quite easliy. Was over the moon when the car started but now chasing something else.
Fault code 01268 came up and when I cleared that and tried to start again the original 01318 code reappeared. I think it is the solenoid. Can anyone confirm?
John.
Thanks AKTIV but how do you know? The car started which it wouldn't do before and then cut out after about a minute. The wiring still looks to be intact although I shall go back out and have another look.
Do i need to get a good heatsink onto the transistor? Doesn't look as if I could get a good sink onto it unless I mount it externally.
John.
I repaired all pumps vp 30 and VP44.
I'm from Poland. Repaired cost is 500 euros.

What do you do for 500 Euros? Replace all mechanical parts or just change a transistor?
Would you be also so kind and let me know if VP30 Focus pumps 007 and 006 are interchangeable? (can I use 006 instead of 007?)
I's say that this would tell more about you About our company. - dieseltechnika
Is replacement of sensor of position of billow obligatory at repair?
cost 500 euros is
1 . new ecu
2 . new hall
3 . new piston for angle injector
4 . calibration pump and print protokol
5 . one year guarante

And I must admit that their prices are very rasonable. I might be getting one from them.
I have read somewhere on another forum (do not recall which one I am sorry) that the broken wire on the transistor is a common failure with all these Bosch pumps from before 2003 manufacturing date. It appears that the design of this wire is to short so that after a couple of years it simply brakes of due to expanding and shrinking due to heating and cooling. This has got nothing to do with the solenoid. Yet your solenoid could still be broken but the first reason seems more obvious to me. I hope this helps. I have got the same problem with my Ford focus. It is a stupid costly failure.
