VAG EDC16 Tool???

had someone tested this tool on EDC16 ?

I tested on a LEON 2009 2.0 TDI but it does not work ;
any idea ?

I tryed on Audi A3 2006 2.0 TDI EDC16,can detect ecu,start reading and freezes ....

After 50 minutes,i stopped,tryed again,and same result...

So i dont think it will work on edc16...

what do you like interface? box blue or black interface?
what version software?

if you can not do with "VAG DASH CAN" with what can be done to clone EDC16? I'm afraid we have no choice and must go to the original!

I(f you read some posts about the original tools,you would also see,that original tools have problems doing the edc16 odo.....maybee best choice would be BDM100...

Why not, I want to buy a BDM100, but the problem is that often the BDM100 clone are mounted upside down with a risk of burn out the ECU!

plus the ECU must be removed! there are customers who prefer to spend as OBD, but why not if it has no choice.

BDM100 can do with the ECU and not the dashboard, right?

Yes,BDM100 can just do EDC16/16+ ecu's and MED9xx ecu's

I use original EVC BDM,so nothing is mounted upside down...but be aware from cloned BDM...improper mounting is not the only problem.

BDM is for reading flash eprom mcu of ecu's...R200/R250 is for reading dash,i dont have it...

buy magic dash can is worth his money ,Im using since 1 year and is the best ,very offten made dash or edc 15,16 which vag dash can not , and is possible to make more dashes from older cars too.

The uploadet soft here from post nr?,but the on from here,used with KKL interface...identifies ecu correct,but freezes after while reading....it may also possible it take 2 hours?,but i wont believe this...not for so little eprom

For passat or touran 2.0 ppd did not work because the ecu is siemens, but also vcds cannot retreive it. Today I try to read a audi a6 2.7 tdi edc16 from 2008 but vagdashcan give me a scifi value. I do not proceed whit the writing, but I save the dump. I analyse later and I see the original mileage. Also vcds cannot read the mileage from that ecu.

Your VAGDASHCAN made the EDC16 Audi? example of vehicles tested and their year?

Normally, if you have a recent version of VCDS (I think from 908.0), you have the button EDC15/EDC16 mileage.

I have tested on many edc16 magic dash of course original (there is no cloned interface) and vag dash can 5.05 cloned
