Vauxhall Philips car400 radio code help!!

Hi all Just wondered if any body could help me out with an unlock code for a philips car 400 from my wifes 2000 astra. Taken it out and think the numbers needed to generate it are GM90532621 Hope it can be done, Regards Lummers

If you post the 14digit number stamped on the casing ..starting GM0400... we may be able to help ...

hi there,

i found this post after a few hours searching for info!

i'm in the same position- had to get a new battery fitted in my Vectra yesterday by the RAC due to the cold weather. now the code is needed for the radio.

I bought the car secondhand about 6 months ago- tried the code that came with it (printed on card)- but not working. I have 7 attempts left!!!

can someone help me please?

I understand i need to get the serial number? where would that be located and how can i get it?

You need to remove the radio mate ... And the calc only does up to mi 1999.... What kind of radio ..? and Vectra B,..or C...

erm, it says it's a Phillips Car 400.

it's a "W" reg 2.0 Dti Vectra B- which i think means it was a year 2000.

bugger, so i can;t get it unlocked easily then?

some of the ones on the internet are asking 25/30 quid to unlock it. i could buy a replacement for that much!

The vectra is a 2000 mate ...theres a good chance the radio is older .... won't know till you post the number....

ok dokey, well that sounds promising!!! needless to say i don;t have the proper removal tools do it. can i fabricate something to do the job? coathanger perhaps?
