Format the SD card and then make a new folder named GARMIN on the card and then copy unlocked map to Garmin folder. If map isn't unlocked you have to get the serial # of the SD card and use a key-gen to make an unlock key code.

Also 2010 maps are year old. New maps are 2011.1 Came out 4-2010

Hi, Guys, just downloaded this map and upload it to my sdcard. However I get the msg that the maps are unlocked. Any Idea why? Also, can can I exctract only one map and upload it, i.e. Calufornia and NEvada? Thx for the replies.

Working - just rename file to gmapsupp.img and drop into Garmin Directory in device or SD card.

I have a garmin nuvi 205w, I have downloaded and unpacked the file put on this forum by Igorm but how do I add this to the Garmin?

Hi,

Take empty SD card and make dir called "Garmin".In this dir put my file and this is it !

I am getting error all the time - maps are not unlocked. Could you please check your file again? I am using Garmin 1300 and it is working with other maps.

Try to rename a folder "Garmin" in "Map"
