going to have to be slightly unhelpful.

ring dealer and ask for the security code for immb, 12 didgit i think
then look up 'mx5 transponder programming' or "ford probe II"
and hope it's the same, reprogramme key as per instrctions.

Not no hope of looking for data at work as flat out!

hang on, do a search on here think somebody can help you out, but don't remember thread or who replyed! For the pin code

Yes or no did you manage to get hold of thet 'other' off your mate? Thanks

Unable to help with eeprom decoding, so i'll just drivvel on a bit, something might help you.

    1) All main stealer only employ two types of worker
    a) Normaly under 21 years old that can't read or write, wear brand
name underwear, small car that's a bag of crap with a bird
that's jamb hot, but serves pizzas

    b) Those that are two old to understand how a computer works
or are unable to remember what to do.

    2) If the car has had flat battery, it is possable that the customer
had tried to push start the vechile and slipped a cam belt
worth checking as M-H-M had one that would start run die
it (lost spark or injection), can't remember how, but we got it
down to immo box, new box ordered, got 'dick-weed locksmiths ltd'
to code it in, (igition on/off x times) and it still wound't start.
somebody mentioned cam sensor, so put one on, still no go
then managed to get of somebody at dealer that was ok
he said something about 'cambelt', removed the cover, spring
    waving hello i've snapped.

Altough was 16 valve the timing was out enough for the ecu to
think, problem, shut down, but not enough to twat the valves.

New cambelt kit, fired up instantly. We told the customer
the cam sensor went dead short, which blow the ecu, which blow the
immo box. Ecu was 'Repaired' new immo new camsens sir and off she goes.

    3) *THINK* the immo light only comes on if it has a fault, (unplug arieal, or screwdriver ignition see what happens)

    4) Look here see if helps you http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...mmo-1-a-85548/

    5) http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...in-code-80517/

    6) Mazda MX-5 Miata Resources

    7) sorry unable to offer anymore help on this one

Well at least it is a start.

Just cable tie the working one to the transponder arieal and hope somebody breaks in and nicks the car.

If you could explain a little more on how you did it, ie the gorey details, thanks.

So at the stealer it must have been the under 21 year old that was unable to read or write, if only he had pretended the ign on on off sequence was a Xbox game, we would have properbly have got somewhere. Goes to show not even the main dealer gets things correct!

if you look at my second post on here Mazda MX-5 Miata Resources
on the screen is this http://www.quadesl.com/pdf/immoblizer.pdf

don't know if it's the same, better worse or none of above!

Thanks for the update, always nice to know what out come was.

Wounder if it was the one that sits in the corner on the bosses motorbike, eating sandwitches and farting loudly.

thought afterwards, sometimes doing keys in same session add the other keys, think once you have two keys the third will 'diy' programme.

What is the problem you r having now?
