Hi. I can?t run the soft. I got Java version recommended here of course, but msg say: UNABLE TO LAUNCH THE APPLICATION . Any idea what happens?.

Try uninstalling that ver of java 6.10 run the servmaxx.exe while online it will find the correct java and install it, Maybe
you got a bad download. Just a suggestion that would be the first thing I would do.

when you uninstall java make sure the folders in c:\documents and settings\Administrator\application data\sun\java (are deleted)
As always its good to backup any folders in case you need them.
than rerun the service maxx program . it will get the proper java.

I get the same error if I'm not hooked up to the Internet... and for some reason, you have to Run as Administrator with Vista or Windows 7 in order for it to work.

Also, I've been unable to get any reg key to work for Windows Vista & 7 .... XP, its not a problem. Have you had any luck with Vista or 7 running ServiceMaxx?

I have no problem but I only run XP PRO spk2 . I don't use vista or windows 7 on my laptop .

You ned to right click on the servicemaxx icon and run as admin to get the correct code to enter or it will not work. Hope this helps.
sorry wrong key if it comes up all FFFF-FFFF then you are running it on windows vista or higher. So you have to run it as admin.

I installed the correct Java version but...it still tells me to uninstall it and install correct java version for program to work?....any ideas? im using Java 6 Update 10....

Newest java version is 6 update 22. The java u have is too old.

if its working leave it alone. update 20 messed up dlb and servicemaxx a while back for alot of people. I dont know for fact but doubt you will gain any servicemaxx features by updating java. what version servicemaxx are u using?

just a FYI, I updated to Java 6.22 and my servicemaxx would not work kept giving me the same errors a prior member posted, I uninstalled java and then let service maxx direct me to java 6.10 and its back up and running!!
