Question Help Cloning Citroen C4 BSI 966405918002

    Hello,

i need to clone this BSI of a citroen c4 because old one does loose communication and wipers/lights on/off when hot.

    Johnson Controls
    966405918002
    BSI04EV K05
    BOOT 28120836-4
    HARD 281192496D

Will copying EEPROM to a BSI with same numbers be enough (got BSI with same numbers of a peugeot 308)?
Or do i need the flash too? (Whats stored in there?)

Does someone have a guide to clone this type of bsi?

Which tool is easy and cheap for doing this?

    Thanks

If signature of flash same so only eeprom is enough.
First read what signature have you got.
Also before playing with bsi print your telecoding of ori bsi.
    Tools required:
    Diagbox
    Fvdi

    Thanks Friend,

OK, so starting with saving BSI telecoding settings via Diagbox print just in case something fuxx up.

FVDI is brought by a friend later .... if numbers on the labels match except the NS05592553 it should be the same?

How do i get the signature to check if everything is the same?

Can someone please confirm that those pins are correct?

Ok, he has not a FVDI, but lots of other stuff like DigiProc 4.

So we tried reading with pinout above ... reading mileage was ok, reading VIN was ok too ...

reading eeprom not possible. Then trying to read eeprom directly via pins, not possible too, all zeros.

Must it really be a fvdi? But when clamping directly to eeprom pins that shouldn't matter at all i guess.

Any advice or help please, thanks

If you have FVDI you can also make exchange but it's not 100% you need learn keys after that.
    I do following.
I read flash with FVDI and read eeprom 95128 with programmer.
At last i write flash and eeprom in new BSI. Thats enough. It work 100% on Johnson BSI. On Valeo still need progam keys.

2 solutions: recover pin code in the calculator and virginize the bsi or make an immo in the calculator and put this bsi without worries

    No, it's a gasoline 120 hp vti.
    MEV 17.4

    Pin Code is known.

So, how do i do virgin if eeprom can not be read?
I read one just writes EEPROM with FF from start to end?

replace the eeprom and recode everything with diagbox vf pin etc ...

With what ... FF all the way? Will this also remove mileage?
But since we couldn't read it we probably cant write it too ... this was even with contact clams on the eeprom (still being on the pcb)

Yes i have diagbox (lexia3 being part of it)

What happens if flash is not the same?

BSI can not be coupled with the ECU, failing to initialize?

What happens if EEPROM is copied but flash is different - simply not working too?

Yes you can put your eeprom there but will have to recode via pps diagbox I have done it several times and it works perfectly
