I also used vag tacho 3 and the update killed my vag tacho 2.5.
The problem is that my laptop cannot see the cable to correct the problem

Or Your VagTacho.exe is cracked or ftdi eeprom dumps are different because this 2.5 dump is same as 2.2.

I have managed to fix it.
I think the problem was that the serial numper in ftprog 1.31 was deactivated . the activation of random serial numper i think solved the problem!
