    bibkare,
    (sorry for my bad english)

Good news that you solve problem...In my interface for CAN transceiver I use MCP2551 (Microchip), You use TJA1050 (Philips). In many situation CAN transceiver is problem for CAN communication. You can simpy check this in OPTIONS/TEST, in car which have CAN protocol. Result will be K1: OK, K2: OK, CAN: Not Ready. This will be warning that need to check MCP2551 or TJA1050 (in Your situation). In extraordinary situation is MCP2515 (stand-alone CAN controller) but can be 16 MHz crystal which is need for work for MCP2515. In my experience I NEVER have fault on MCP2515, but many time I change MCP2551 which was cause of CAN protocol (communication) problem.
    Best Regards,
    igorm

Friends i have a big doubt a little bit off topic, but I need some advice. Do you have heard about a new chinesse USD-Serial IC in VagCom VCDS interfaces that is used instead the FTDI FT232xx one? That chip is the CH340T and seems to be not compatible with FTDI drivers and because that the software doesn't work properly.

What VID and PID appear in device manager?
    Is VCDS or VAGCOM (KKL)?

    http://devid.info/en/1680/USB-SERIAL+CH340
Here you can download the driver and an application what I SUPPOSE must make a custom driver. But, is in chinese, i don't understand the interface.

    Thanks for your answer friend.

The VID & PID are: Vendor ID: 1A86 Product ID: 7523. It is a VagCom KKL cable. The software seems that doesn't recognize it although it takes the drivers. I have been searching and the problem could be that it is not a FTDI ICs inside the interface. Many softwares that uses this type of KKL interface have the same issue.

Vag Com 409 KKL interface mate cannot works with VCDS softwear version
    Just with VCDS Lite
For VCDS like 11.11 you need a HEX+CAN interface not a KKL one
But I suppose that you allready know this.
    Good luck

Thanks a lot for your advice and you are right!!! I am talking about old VagCom 311 & 409, VCDS Lite and other software based in the generic dumb KKL interface, I mean Fiatecuscan, BMW Inpa, OpenEcu, FreeSSM, FCR Volvo, etc.......I heard about issues using those programs (reliability and functionality) or inclusive using the VagCom 311 or 409 with the chinesse USB-Serial IC instead of the FTDI. If you google "VagCom CH340" or "USB2.0-Ser!" you will find what I mean.
Then my question is do you have heard those issues? anyone have some tricks to solve it?

Yes china doctors sels KKL cables with CH340 system (cheaper system) and this cables make a lot of problems on aplications which are compatible with KKL cable, so next time when you are buy KKL cable first check if you deal with FTDI or shity CH340 !!!!!

ch340 is made by winchiphead vs ft232rl is made by ftdi
ch340 needs external crystal vs ft232rl incorporates it inside the ic
ch340 really replaces ft232bm/bl, not ft232rl, that's why it needs external crystal
ft232rl is a more advanced ic than ch340/ft232bm/bl
both new circuits only need single ic lm339 (quadruple comparator) vs lots of transistors as in previous versions with ft232bm/bl
    these are the differences:

    ch340

    ft232rl

lm339 usually burns out, look here how to replace

    Hello,

I have VCDS-Lite running on a blue chinese KKL-USB cable.
Could someone explain me why the orange block display only N/A?
Do I need a different version of Lite or do I need a better medicine?

Great review Manocao, but why does this USB-Serial IC have so poor performance that many software that uses the simple KKL interface doesn't work good with it????. Some names are Nefmoto, Ecuflash, BMW Inpa, etc..... inclusive I heard that some special functions managed with VagCom311, VagCom409 or VCDSLite get issues or errors with that KKL interface with the CH340T chip inside.
