New loader V4 working with 17.8.1 available. Needed to rewrite avr eeprom. One multilingual eeprom is not possible anymore. Use VAGCOM_EEWriteLang to write eeprom of your choice.

I do not understand that a multilingual eeprom is not possible

Yes. Read next sentence : "Use VAGCOM_EEWriteLang to write eeprom of your choice"

Thanks Kolimer for your great job!

If you have working e.g. 17.1.3 it is easy to update to 17.8.1

[As VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe is detecting HW Type you can start from point 4]

1. Check your HW type first with VAGCOM_HWType.exe to be sure about HW 0x44 or 0x46 (connect 12V to the cable)
2. then extract HW you want form eepromavr_AllLang.zip (e.g. 0x46 AKP = PL) to seperate folder (e.g. eeprom_update)
3. then to the same folder (eeprom_update) copy VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe
4. then run VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe (in the same folder as eeproms), choose language you want (e.g. for AKP its polish), connect cable to USB and 12V and push WRITE, when done klick OK
5. then install VCDS 17.8.1 in your language (e.g. AKP from vcds.pl) copy VCDSLoader.exe to main folder of VCDS and run it (loader)
6. do the TEST of the cable (still connected to 12V) it will ask for update FW from 1.95 to 1.96. Do it. After update this is done.
After another TEST you will see:

...and it is good time to connect to the car

PS. I noticed it is better to use power supply like 12V 500mA, when I used 100mA I had issues with proper programming and TEST cable.

I tried this V4 and on my laptop with win7 x64 still is problem with correct finding rod file and with long coding, I tried to install VCDS as 32 bit and as 64bit version.

For me, the v4 charger works well, I checked the long coding and it looks like it works well.

I tried vcds 17.8.1 Release in english, modules which I test on bench are 7N0907530AK and cluster 1K8920875D.

Same interface but on win7 x32 works perfect with english version.
