    I do not know from were was bougth....I just write FTDI, reflashed Atmega by usb and all was ok...so, bootloader was there.

    So is your OBD2 connected to +12V while you are doing test? Connect to the car and retry.
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

    Hi, Please help,

    Ok I have a VAG171 and I can successfully flash via PROGISP. The problem is when I power down and connect USB the LED stops working and it is not recognised. I can reflash but cannot proceed. I have also been able to VAGCOM_EEWriteLang successfully. I think the old protection is reflashing and making unusable?. Can somebody direct me to what chip needs removing or tracks that may need cutting.

    I have also installed 17.8 and cannot get it to validate with V5.1 or V6 VCDSLoader?. Any help much appreciated.

    I am doing this because I have never manage to get CAN:Ready on my system.

    the response from hid3 and alinutz198 is the right way sir. test ist on car not on bench...

    I did not looked for vcc or ground on the header, I allways aplly 12v to obd2.
    I use v6.1.

    Hi, thanks again to all, I have tried on the car with and without jumpers.......'Can:Not Ready' This has never worked from new so I am thinking it may be a bad lead.

    Just for information what do the jumpers do on this lead?.

    It's not clear regarding the jumpers. There is a theory that one is for the Aes chip, another of K-line (or L line?). I have tried with both jumpers shorted and it works fine.

    BTW, what car are you testing on? Maybe your car doesn't have CAN at all?

    Hi,

    It is a VW Passat 2012 Alltrack B7. It does have CAN. Also checked on Seat Leon 2012 (before reflash) always same response.
