    Correction - it will not work at all.
    For now 18.2.0 is the way to go. Seems it will take a while for that, so relax.
    Guys, seriously, do you believe 0.0.1 change in version will do any magic for you?
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

    This interface (with Atmega) doesn't have K-Line controllers.
    Out of curiousity, what is the price quote for this?
    Same price as good Interface. About 21€.

    Hi!
    I noticed this interested forum. I am specialized in software development and reverse engeenering.

    I bought r0$$ cable some days ago.
    I have a strange problem using VAG and VCDS with VCDS Loader and i would like to understand how it works to discover this problem.
    The problem is that i do not see the bit list when i open the long coding helper and if i try to set the coding manually, VCDS says: out of range and it doesnt code (AUDI A4 B8). But i am sure that the coding is right for that module.
    While adaptation, diagnosis and other stuff works normally.

    I am using VCDS 18.2.0 and HEX-V2 cable.
    Cable test result (VAGCOM_HWType):
    FW Version : 1.96
    HW Version : 0x46
    Identification : ROSS-USA

    Has the VCDSLoader to be "alligned" with the software version or it work correctly with any version?
    I tried to download the VCDSLoader v6.3, but if i try to run VCDS by that, cable is not recognized and VCDS doesnt work.

    So how can be sure to use the correct VCDSLoader? Is there a way to see what VCDSLoader i am using?
    Does i need to flash the vag (i see there is a method to do it in the kolimer's VCDSLoader v6.3 zip file) to use VCDSLoader v6.3?

    Hello,

    can you post the snip from Autoscan of the module you are trying to recode and the new coding you are trying to recode to?

    PS: be sure to either snip the "VCID" field or change some numbers there, because R0$$ is reading this thread.

    Sorry if it is in Italian (i was trying the IT version but problem is the same).

    Indirizzo 17: Cruscotto (J285) Etichette:. ITT\8T0-920-xxx-17.clb
    N°. di Ricambio SW: 8K0 920 930 D HW: 8K0 920 930 D
    Componente: KOMBIINSTR. H20 0255
    Versione: 00300000
    Codifica: 0F04100002000008000000
    Nessun Guasto riconosciuto

    This is the part of Scan (i removed the VCID, serial number and WSC).

    17-Instruments > I would like to activate the needle sweep/gauge test, so byte 1 bit 0.
    Byte 1 is 04 (binary 00000100)
    I changed it to 05 (binary 00000101)
    So the new coding should be: 0F05100002000008000000

    Code rejected, out of range. So problem is the cable....? The software...?....my car (AUDI A4 B8 2011) ???!

    I have a hex-v2 too and this is what I did: I took kolimers loader v6.3, reflashed the hex-v2 cable completely (but eeprom with the hw-tool should be enough), I've downloaded the original VCDS installer and used loader v6.3.
    It should work for you too

    edit: oops, sorry, nevermind. I forgot to refresh the page and didn't saw that someone already answered..

    Popup windows with God Bless. There is a version number in the bottom right corner.
    But I don't see you actually flashed your cable. Hwtype don't do that.

    About long coding. You could "uncheck" a feature you have right now and see if vcds accepts it. After that put it back and test if it's accepted again.

    ^^^ Good advice on trying to "uncheck" a currently existing feature.

    Also, the God Bless is only a free version thing. Commercial loader doesn't bless anything/anybody - once it's about commerce, there no God

    Hi. Please can anyone help me with some steps to reflash my cable via USBASP ?

    It depends on your Hardware (0x44 or 0x46). It's all described in Info.pdf. If you don't want a GUI, use "avrdude.exe" in Windows commandline.

    http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/avrdude/

    A working connection should look like this:

    Code:
    avrdude -p m162 -c usbasp -n -v

    avrdude: Version 6.2
             Copyright (c) 2000-2005 Brian Dean, http://www.bdmicro.com/
             Copyright (c) 2007-2014 Joerg Wunsch

    [...]

    avrdude: auto set sck period (because given equals null)
    avrdude: AVR device initialized and ready to accept instructions

    Reading | ################################################## | 100% 0.00s

    avrdude: Device signature = 0x1e9404 (probably m162)
    avrdude: safemode: hfuse reads as DA
    avrdude: safemode: efuse reads as F9

    There are ready to use batch files for avrdude. Need to copy exe in unzipped archive and detect your hardware to get right one.

    Update about the coding.
    I tried to code removing an existing bit (to readd it later), nothing. I tried to recode the SAME code. Nothing....code rejected. I cannot code anything.

    I opened the cable, the cable is r0$$-tech HEX-V2 but it doesnt provide the atmega, but a MCP2515. I do not know, test about hardware says:
    Cable test result (VAGCOM_HWType):
    FW Version : 1.96
    HW Version : 0x46
    Identification : ROSS-USA
    But as i see about instructions, i cannot flash it because it is not an atmega.
    At this point, i think i have to change the cable.

    I am struggling to find an installer for 18.2, it seems Ross tech has taken it down, does anyone have a mirror?

    The MCP2515 is just the CAN-Controller, and the ATA6561 is the CAN-Transmitter, connected to the MCP. You surely have a atmega162 aswell, do you? Please take pictures of both sides of the pcb and post it.
