Hi all, Im new to this forum. I have got a 812.4 cable and software but I think the cable has been disabled because it keeps telling me that it is not connected to the car when it is. VAG COM recognises it on test. I was play with some other versions of the software could this have disabled the cable, if so does anyone know it can be unlocked.

you hardware is a bit different than on this post http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...tml#post746536 but i think you should first test you interface on autoscan function, if all goes well till the end then you don't have to do anything but if you get message "this function requires licensed interface", you have to remove stc chip and corresponding resistor, transistor and reflash atmega with 908 dump

The interface works well with 908 dump (autoscan too). But after a while it stops working an I have to flash again.

The problem is I see the stc chip but don`t know which resistor and transistor to remove.

    If Anthem

If you are you breathe. If you breathe you talk. If you talk if you ask. If you ask you think. If you think you search. If you search you experience. If you experience you learn. If you learn you grow. If you grow you wish. If you wish you find. And if you find you doubt. If you doubt you question. If you question you understand and if you understand you know. If you know you want to know more. If you want to know more you are alive.

Sorry but this solution doesn`t match my PCB. Can`t find the right resistor and transistor.

Okay guys, i'm "new" to the forum. First post but been reading the forum for a while.

I have weird problem with vcds lite. I tried to do TBA on vw golf 2.0/aut 2001. Motor code is apk/aqy.

When i go to engine->meas.blocks->098 Where the alignment should do, there is only N/A. There should be ADP.RUN etc. as stated on that quide underneath(taken from ross-techs Web-site):

"Procedure for performing a Throttle Body Alignment on Cable-Throttle Cars:

These are cars with a physical cable between the accelerator and the throttle, but WITHOUT an ISV.

Turn the key on but do not start the car.

    [Select]
    [01 - Engine]
    [Measuring Blocks - 08]
Group 098 (Note: Some SIMOS or Marelli ECU's use Group 001 such as ADY & AEE engines)
    [Go!]
    [Switch to basic settings]
Once you do this you will see the top right display say ADP RUN. The TB adaptation is being done as soon as you switch to basic settings. You will see the values change and hear the TB cycle for the first few seconds then it will stop. Leave it in Basic Settings for about 30 seconds.
[Switch to Meas. Blocks] button and you're all set."

Do you guys have any tips or tricks, what could be the problem? And hopefully this post is in the right topic.

    Thanks in advance.

Try to remove only stc chip then reflash atmega, after that test autoscan
